91Èȱ¬ Norwich has become the latest 91Èȱ¬ building to open its doors to the public and is offering visitors the chance to gain a behind-the-scenes insight on how a regional broadcasting centre operates.
All over the country regional news is watched on screen by thousands of people and now viewers have an exciting opportunity to see, touch and even smell the real studios.
This is a fantastic chance to gain access to the rarely seen world behind the famous TV and radio programmes broadcast and produced from 91Èȱ¬ Norwich at The Forum.
91Èȱ¬ Tour guides will give an insight into the many programmes originating from 91Èȱ¬ Norwich and the level of work it takes to get them from script to screen.
91Èȱ¬ Norwich Tours offer visitors the chance to see the 91Èȱ¬ Radio Norfolk studios which may be broadcasting live, with listeners' favourite presenters behind the microphones.
The tour also includes a visit to the Look East TV studio and production gallery to find out what it is like behind the scenes of the 91Èȱ¬ in Norwich – including a peek into the presenters' dressing rooms, an edit suite and Julie's Weather office.Â
At the end of the tour visitors have the chance to try their hands at presenting or operating the cameras in the new purpose-built Open Studio.
People have been welcomed behind the scenes at 91Èȱ¬ Television Centre in London for more than 10 years.
In January 2009 visitors were offered the chance to explore the intriguing world of 91Èȱ¬ Birmingham or 91Èȱ¬ Manchester, now 91Èȱ¬ Norwich is opening its doors to allow visitors to gain an insight into the 91Èȱ¬'s regional output in Norwich.
