Steve Jones to host new 91Èȱ¬ One entertainment show, As Seen On TV

Production is to begin on a brand new 91Èȱ¬ One entertainment show, As Seen On TV, it was announced today.

The weekly celebrity panel quiz show on all things telly-related will be hosted by Steve Jones alongside regular team captains Fern Britton and Jason Manford, each leading a host of well-known TV faces.

Every week the celebrity teams will battle it out in five TV trivia rounds.

The show is set to transmit in early summer 2009.

Mark Linsey, 91Èȱ¬ Controller of Entertainment, said: "It is a pleasure to announce the commissioning of As Seen On TV, which is a fun and exciting new format that furthers our promise of offering viewers a varied portfolio of family entertainment.

"With Steve Jones at the helm and Fern and Jason at his side this show will offer telly fans an opportunity to test their TV knowledge along with a wealth of celebrity guests."

Karen Smith, Executive Producer, Shine TV, said: "TV is the nation's favourite hobby and we feel that we have developed an accessible, fun format that involves everyone that watches and loves TV. It really is a show for all ages and all TV tastes."

The eight x 30-minute show from Shine TV has been commissioned by 91Èȱ¬ One Controller, Jay Hunt, and 91Èȱ¬ Controller of Entertainment, Mark Linsey.

As Seen On TV is produced and created by Shine TV. Executive Producers for Shine are Karen Smith and Robin Ashbrook; Series Producer is Leon Wilde; Executive Editor for the 91Èȱ¬ is Jo Wallace.
