Whoopi Goldberg joins Jonathan Ross on his 91Èȱ¬ One show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.
She confirms her good friend, Ghost co-star Patrick Swayze, is doing well: "He's working his butt off, doing all kinds of exercises. He doesn't have an expiration date; when it comes, it comes."
And talks about the new political dawn in the US and how she considered a career in politics: "... but I have a lot of stuff in my closet, you're not allowed to be a human being, you have to walk a path that's near impossible to walk."
Whoopi says she nearly turned down The Color Purple: "I said no, because I'd never done a movie before... [we] don't want to be bad."
And she confirms she's thinking about returning to the London stage.
Jason Donovan talks about his past life: "I took the opportunities while they were there, I just wanted to have a good time."
And why he turned down Priscilla, the movie: "It was a difficult time for me, I was pretty exhausted. [Joseph was] very intense and claustrophobic... now I'm far more stable in my life."
There's more chat with Jason Isaacs and music from Antony & The Johnsons.
