Jodie jives off Strictly Come Dancing
|
Model and television presenter Jodie Kidd tonight became the eleventh celebrity to leave 91Èȱ¬ One's Strictly Come Dancing.
Ìý
After performing the jive, the combination of the viewer votes and judges' scores left Jodie and her partner Ian Waite in the bottom two with Lisa Snowdon and Brendan Cole.
Ìý
Both couples had to perform a second time for the judges' deciding vote.
Ìý
Of Jodie and Ian's dance the judges said:
Ìý
Arlene Phillips: "Jodie, I never thought I'd see the day when you could come out and perform like a great actress. But there is a dance trophy at stake here and those kicks and flicks have got to be sharper."
Score: 7.
Ìý
Len Goodman: "You did those kicks beautifully. I thought you had the fun element of the dance. I'm talking to Ian now – I would have liked to see a little bit more of changing places right to left basic jive, but I know Jodie's been ill and I know it's been a tough week. You did what you could, well done."
Score: 8.
Ìý
Bruno Tonioli: "I am really surprised. I was expecting this to be like a big marshmallow of a dance but you were sharp, you were on time. I counted all the way through – all the way through you were never off the timing. So proud, you should be proud." Score: 8.
Ìý
Craig Revel Horwood: "For a gargantuan couple I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with that. I really, really was, I thought it was a really, really confident and tight performance and I loved the way you did all those toe, heal swivel sections. At times, though, a little bit heavy for me, particularly on just the chasse sections and just the timing, landing late on a couple of jumps too but very well done."
Score: 7.
Ìý
The judges gave them a total of 30 out of 40 for their performance.
Ìý
After the dance-off, Craig, Arlene and Bruno all saved Lisa and Brendan, leaving head judge Len to comment.
Ìý
Len said: "I did agree with result, and I do agree that that was the most fantastic dance off."
Ìý
After Jodie and Ian's elimination, Jodie said: "I've had such a fabulous time. Thank you so much to everyone, thank you Ian. I've made some beautiful friends. It's been the most amazing journey, it's been brilliant. I see Ian as my brother from another mother!"
Ìý
The Sunday results saw a live performance from John Barrowman.
