Graham Torrington and Sam Mason to join Radio Bristol

Graham Torrington and Sam Mason are to join 91Èȱ¬ Radio Bristol.

Graham, formerly of GWR, is set to take over the mid-morning programme (9.00am-noon) and Sam, best known for her years as an HTV presenter, will take over the afternoon show (2.00-5.00pm).

Graham, who has been broadcasting in the Bristol area for ten years and starts at the end of October, says: "I'm really looking forward to starting at the 91Èȱ¬ and can't wait to launch into the cut and thrust of the mid-morning phone-ins!"

Sam, who will take over the mid-afternoon show from 29ÌýSeptember, says: "I'm chuffed to bits to be joining 91Èȱ¬ Radio Bristol and can't wait to start having fun with all the lovely listeners!"

Graham Torrington was on air in the same building, at the same time, as Dave Barrett back in the Nineties.
Ìý
Graham was presenting Late Night Love for GWR and through the studio glass Dave was presenting his show on Classic Gold.
Ìý
Graham has won several industry awards.
In June 2000 he was awarded a World Medal in the New York Radio Festival Awards.
In May 2002 he won a Silver award in the Sony radio awards.
In the New York Radio Festival Awards in 2008 he was named as Best Talk Show Host.

Graham will be presenting on Radio Bristol this week, on Wednesday lunchtime, filling in for Steve Yabsley.

Sam Mason also worked with Dave Barrett in the early Nineties on HTV presenting the weekly topical debate show Late And Live with him.
