Fall Out Boy and Miley Cyrus headline first live event for 91Èȱ¬ Switch

The 91Èȱ¬'s multi-platform teen brand 91Èȱ¬ Switch will host its first live event, 91Èȱ¬ Switch Live, on Sunday 12 October from 1.00 to 6.00pm at London's Hammersmith Apollo.

The news was announced by Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw on 91Èȱ¬ Radio 1's Switch show.
Ìý
The event will be exclusively headlined by Fall Out Boy and Miley Cyrus.
Ìý
This will be the first time in the UK Miley performs as herself, rather than her TV alter ego Hannah Montana.
Ìý
Ne-Yo, McFly, Basshunter, N-Dubz and George Sampson complete a line-up of some of the biggest stars in the teen world.

91Èȱ¬ Switch Live will be exclusively for 14 to 17-year-olds and hosted by Radio 1's Annie Mac, Nick Grimshaw, Greg James, Fearne Cotton, Kelly Osbourne and 91Èȱ¬ Switch's Tom Deacon.
Ìý
Exclusive interviews and performances will be broadcast on Switch on Radio 1 on the night.
Ìý
Highlights will be available the following Saturday on music TV show Sound on 91Èȱ¬ Two.

Online at bbc.co.uk/switch, The 5:19 Show presented by Tom Deacon will feature backstage chats and random humour from Switch Live every day the following week.

The site will also offer artist pages, video diaries, backstage fun, info for parents, photo galleries, artist interviews and more.

Next Sunday, 28 September, Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw will announce how listeners can get hold of tickets live on Radio 1's Switch show.

Sound is a music TV show that is not afraid to have fun as well as celebrate music. Filmed in a London loft, the new Sound sees Annie and Grimmy joined by an audience of 50 selected fans and friends. From established names through to rising stars, each week a band will join in the fun and perform. There will be mischief, guests from the worlds of fashion, sport, comedy, film and TV, audience interaction and bands performing in unexpected places. It airs at noon every Saturday on the 91Èȱ¬ Switch zone on 91Èȱ¬ Two.

The 5:19 Show is named after the time that most teens log on after school, the show is a fast paced, daily online show with sketches, chat, guests, performances and a whole load of random humour. The show, filmed in the basement at 91Èȱ¬ Switch, is presented by Tom Deacon, a new signing and award-winning stand-up comedian.
