Metallica to play exclusive gig for Radio 1

Metallica, one of the biggest bands on the planet, are to play a unique gig for 91Èȱ¬ Radio 1.

Taking place at the 91Èȱ¬ Radio Theatre in London on Sunday 14 September 2008, the show will be broadcast the following day (Monday 15 September) on Radio 1 from 9.00pm.

The performance forms the centrepiece of an evening of programming devoted to the legendary band, including an access all areas interview with all four members.
Ìý
Listeners can register for a chance to get tickets for the gig and will be selected randomly.
Ìý
Registration opens via on the Radio 1 website at 7.30pm on Tuesday 2 September. The registration closes on Friday 5 September at 7.30pm.
