91Èȱ¬ South East Deck Chair Tour launched
Broadstairs, in Kent, has been chosen as the first port of call for presenters Geoff Clark and Beverley Thompson as they launch this year's 91Èȱ¬ South East Today Deck Chair Tour on Friday (8 August 2008).

The Deck Chair Tour sees 91Èȱ¬ South East bringing viewers part of their regional evening news programme live from towns around Kent and Sussex, as well as from across the Channel, as Bev, Geoff and the South East Today team explore some of the resorts around our coastline.
Ìý
The tour gets on the road this Friday as Bev, Geoff and weather presenter Kaddy Lee-Preston come live from the Viking Bay Jetty at the end of Harbour Street, Broadstairs, at 6.30pm.

And 91Èȱ¬ Radio Kent will also be on hand as Pat Marsh presents his afternoon show from the jetty between 1pm and 4pm.

Viewers are invited to come and meet the evening team between 3pm and 4pm on Friday at the Harbour Masters Office, Harbour Street, Broadstairs.

The Press are also invited to send a photographer or reporter to cover the outside broadcast or the public session.

Geoff, Bev and the team will continue on the 91Èȱ¬ South East Deck Chair Tour next Friday and into August, broadcasting South East Today live from the following places:

Friday 22 August – De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill

Friday 29 August – Place Dalton, Boulogne, with footage and guests from its twin town of Folkestone
