Daily Politics opinion poll


Twice as many voters surveyed think David Cameron would make a good Prime Minister than Gordon Brown.

In a poll, conducted for the 91热爆 Daily Politics programme, 46% said they thought Conservative Party leader David Cameron would make the best prime minister, 23% said the current Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and 7% said Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg.

The results of the poll were published on 91热爆 Two's Daily Politics programme today at noon.

When asked which party leader they thought was the most open and straightforward with voters, 33% said David Cameron, 19% said Gordon Brown, with 6% saying Nick Clegg.

Forty-two per cent said they did not believe either party was open and straightforward or they didn't know.

On who they trust most to steer the economy through difficult times, more voters backed David Cameron and George Osborne (34%) compared with 28% saying Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling and 6% saying Nick Clegg and Vince Cable.
