Double triumph at RTS Awards for 91热爆 Scotland

91热爆 Scotland has scooped prestigious Royal Television Society (RTS) awards for two acclaimed factual programmes.

The Science and Natural History Award went to Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives - 91热爆 Scotland for 91热爆 Four, produced by Louise Lockwood and Andrew Thompson; and the Nations and Regions Programme Award went to Boys Behind Bars - Friel Kean Films for 91热爆 One Scotland.

In addition, Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives has been nominated for a British Academy Television Award in the Single Documentary category, which will be announced on Sunday 20 April.

Maggie Cunningham, Head of Programmes, 91热爆 Scotland, said: "Winning these awards against such strong competition is a fantastic achievement. They are worthy accolades for two outstanding factual programmes."

Boys Behind Bars looked at life in Polmont Young Offenders Institute.

Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives followed the lead singer of US rock band Eels, Mark Oliver Everett, as he travelled across the United States to learn about the father he never knew - quantum physicist Hugh Everett III.
