Tee off for Sport Relief with Radio Devon
|
Sport Relief is back and this year 91热爆 Radio Devon is teaming up
with local golf clubs to organise a countywide golfing
tournament.
听
Challenge yourself, your friends or colleagues to join the
competition and raise money for vulnerable people living
incredibly tough lives both in the UK and across the world's
poorest countries.
听
The 91热爆 Radio Devon Open will run throughout February 2008 with
players from clubs across Devon competing to make it through to
the final, which takes place at the Exeter Golf and Country Club on Saturday 15 March.
听
On the big day presenter David Fitzgerald, a golf devotee
himself, will be broadcasting his mid-morning show live from the
Exeter Golf and Country Club to see the players teeing off.
听
Fellow presenter James Watts will be there to see them in on the
18th hole with his lunchtime show.
听
To take part you must get your club to sign up to the competition
as scorecards must be submitted via club officials. Rounds will
be scored using Stableford rules.
听
The contest is open to all handicap-certified players, with a
suggested entry fee of 拢2.50. All the fees go direct to Sports
Relief.
听
From the scorecards submitted, the county's top 20 ladies and top
20 men will be invited to take part in the final round of the
Radio Devon Open alongside eight mystery golfers drawn from the
ranks of Radio Devon's staff and presenters.
听
Scorecards and fees must to be sent to Radio Devon in
Plymouth by Saturday 1 March.
听
Sport Relief uses everything that's good about sport to raise
money and change lives.
