Super League Show returns

The 91热爆's award-winning rugby league programme The Super League Show returns to 91热爆 TV across the north of England this Sunday (3 February) for the first of 32 weekly programmes.

Broadcast from 91热爆 Yorkshire studios in Leeds and presented by Harry Gration, the series will reflect the action and the passion of rugby league's premier competition.

All-time great Robbie Paul is a regular studio guest and he'll be joined each week by familiar faces from the world of rugby league.

Dave Woods will be the principal commentator on the best action from the week's games, and the series will have features, analysis and debate on current issues in the sport.

The series also aims to focus on the "community-deep" aspect of rugby league by taking a number of programmes on the road to Engage Super League clubs for live outside broadcasts, as well as introducing interactivity for viewers and fans traveling to Sunday afternoon games.

The first programme will be shown on 91热爆 Two on Sunday 3 February at 5.25pm, and will feature highlights from the first game of the season as champions Leeds Rhinos take on the Hull Kingston Rovers at Headingley, a round four match rescheduled due to Leeds taking part in the Carnegie World Club Challenge later in the month.

Ireland and Dewsbury Rams coach Andy Kelly will be in the studio as the programme looks ahead to the season for the other sides, and there will be a special report from Florida on how the Rhinos pre-season preparations went.

The series producers will be Televideo, whose producer Richard Coventry said: "We aim to be involved in the sport at all levels, providing game-wide action and comment with community-deep features.

"With the outside broadcasts we will take the Super League Show to the very heart of the game."

The 91热爆's Head of Sport for English Regions, Charles Runcie, said: "This season will be a fascinating one, with a World Cup and the new licensing just two topics of debate in the sport as well as the ever-growing standards of the competition.

"We aim to reflect all that on the Super League Show."

Viewers throughout the UK are able to access the programme when it is on 91热爆 One via digital satellite channels 975-978, and the whole show is also available to watch again on both bbc.co.uk/iplayer and bbc.co.uk/rugbyleague.
