"I didn't say sorry" says Geri in interview with Russell Brand for Radio 2

The enfant terrible of the Noughties meets the Titans of the Nineties in an exclusive one-off programme on 91热爆 Radio 2, as Russell Brand talks to the recently re-formed Spice Girls.

The comedian and Radio 2 presenter caught up with Sporty, Scary, Baby, Ginger and Posh in the middle of rehearsals for their reunion tour.

In a frank and funny look back over the last 13 years Geri talks about leaving the band.

She says: "I haven't said this, but I was thinking about this the other day, that I left the band, and quite crappily... I didn't really say goodbye. I didn't say sorry.

"And that was many years ago and thankfully, and I apologised privately to them, but I do want to say how gracious they are. They just took it back...

"I think this tour for me personally is about reconciliation and making a really wonderful memory so when I'm older I just look back and I'm going to remember this with such joy and fond memories and with gratitude to these girls, do you know, I mean, it's been so brilliant."

The full interview can be heard in Russell Brand Meets The Spice Girls on Radio 2 on Saturday 22 December 2007 at 3.00pm.

The programme is available online for seven days after transmission at bbc.co.uk/radio2.
