91Èȱ¬ Knowledge Commissioners announced

91Èȱ¬ Vision's Controller of Knowledge Commissioning, George Entwistle,
has announced the new line-up of factual commissioning editors to work
across all four 91Èȱ¬ TV channels and on multi-platform content.

The new
structure takes effect from today (3 December 2007).
Ìý
In the new in-house commissioning team, reporting to Emma Swain, Head of
In-house Knowledge Commissioning, there are three Commissioning Editors:
Martin Davidson looks after Specialist Factual; Adam Kemp commissions
Arts, Music and Religion; and there is a vacancy for a new Commissioning
Editor for Features and Factual Formats.

In addition to leading the in-house commissioning team, Emma Swain will
commission Documentaries and Natural History, plus Features and Factual
Formats until the new commissioner is appointed.

In the independent commissioning team, reporting to Richard Klein, Head
of Independent Knowledge Commissioning, there are three Commissioning
Editors: Ben Gale commissions Features and Factual Formats. He will also
commission Documentaries on 91Èȱ¬ One and 91Èȱ¬ Three. Jacquie Hughes becomes a Commissioning Editor, taking responsibility for Arts and
Religion. She will also handle indie music proposals. And there is a
vacancy for a new Commissioning Editor for Specialist Factual.

Richard Klein continues to commission documentaries for 91Èȱ¬ Two and Four
alongside his role as leader of the independent commissioning team.

Richard will also commission Specialist Factual until the new
commissioner is appointed.
Ìý
The two commissioning editor vacancies will be advertised inside the 91Èȱ¬
and externally in the coming weeks, with interviews planned for early in
2008.

The commissioning process for Current Affairs remains unchanged, with
the recently appointed Commissioning Editor of TV Current Affairs, Clive
Edwards, reporting to both 91Èȱ¬ Knowledge and 91Èȱ¬ News.

Music commissioning is also unchanged, continuing to fall under the
direction of 91Èȱ¬ Audio & Music, with Adam Kemp reporting to both 91Èȱ¬
Knowledge and Audio & Music.
