Brand is smitten with Craig – Friday Night With Jonathan Ross
Russell Brand is smitten with Daniel "007" Craig when they both join Jonathan Ross tonight on 91Èȱ¬ One.

"He's a challenge to my heterosexuality ... he's effortless," Russell Brand says on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.

"... if I knew I was about to die I'd be out there chatting up Daniel Craig ... I'm going to give him such a big cuddle, that man ... I could be a vicious Bond girl!"

Brand also talks about his new friendship with Morrissey: "I love that bloke, I've been emailing him, he calls me Wussell."

And he talks candidly about his past addictions, firstly drugs: "Heroin grants you a life of waking sleep, snug, comfy but awful... I was on so many drugs, I forgot to put on clothes."

On the surreal effects it had on him: "I had a mouse called Elvis living in my hair for about a month ... it was the jiving that eventually drove us apart."

And more recently, sex addiction: "I was doing it too much. If it gets in the way of your housework, you're doing it too much!"

Ìý Daniel Craig took up the big screen's action hero mantle last year and became the sixth James Bond in Casino Royale.

But he reveals he couldn't take it seriously at first.

He says: "I walked away at first because I didn't see myself doing it, I genuinely thought they were having a bit of a giggle ... I knew we had to do something different, now we've got a chance to push that on a bit.

"It's a very old story, they're great yarns, he knows where the bad guys are and goes and gets them."

How many more Bonds?: "Until they tell me to stop. I want to get the next one right and we'll go from there. I'm free to do what I want but I've got no plans to stop."

And when he's not filming?: "I watch everything on TV but reality shows, I don't get a kick out of them ... [although] I might end up doing one, but that's something else."

The big screen hard man reveals his sensitive side when he talks about his upcoming appearance in fantasy film The Golden Compass and the book on which it is based, admitting he shed a tear when he first read it.

"I'm a big fan of the books. I cried, yes," he says.
