Noel Fielding to mind the Buzzcocks this autumn
|
91Èȱ¬ Two's satirical music series Never Mind The Buzzcocks is back with a brand new series next month.
Ìý
Simon Amstell returns for his second series as host. His successful debut series won him the Royal Television Society programme award for Comedy Entertainment.
Ìý
Amstell will once again be joined by regular team captains Bill Bailey and Phill Jupitus.
Ìý
This series also welcomes special guest team captain, The Mighty Boosh's illustrious Noel Fielding, who will be keeping Bill's seat warm for three shows of this new series. No stranger to the show, Noel was a guest in the last series.
Ìý
Noel Fielding says: "When Bill asked me to cover for him as team captain on Buzzcocks I was delighted to be his first choice. Only after I agreed to do it did I realise that I was actually 104th on the list behind Andrew, his long-eared rabbit. Although, to be fair, Andrew is on fire at the moment."
Ìý
Celebrity guests from the worlds of entertainment and music will join the team captains as host Amstell navigates them through a number of musically-based quiz rounds.
Ìý
With the show's reputation for the unpredictable, guests each week are always primed for the occasional embarrassment and harmless ribbing, as their knowledge of music is put to the test.
Ìý
Never Mind The Buzzcocks will return to 91Èȱ¬ Two in November 2007.
