Tender Time - indies get chance to bid for 91热爆 One's Question Time contract

The 91热爆 is conducting a tender for the contract to produce 91热爆 One's iconic current affairs show Question Time.

The contract will be for three years from September 2007 and the tender is open to independent producers who will make Question Time as a qualifying regional production.

Jana Bennett, Director, 91热爆 Vision says: "Tenders like this one reflect the 91热爆's commitment to creating a level playing field for independents by making the commissioning process more transparent.

"As a result the 91热爆 gets better value for money by being able to source the very best ideas."

Sue Inglish, Head of Political Programmes, said: "The 91热爆 is seeking proposals which will take Question Time forward in the multi-platform future whilst retaining the essential character of this highly-successful 91热爆 One show."

Requests for the tender documents should be emailed to sue.inglish-QT@bbc.co.uk.

The closing date for initial submissions is 12 January 2007.

Question Time was first broadcast on 25 September 1979.

The programme is currently produced by Mentorn and has an average audience of 2.5 million and a share of 20%.
