What does your Asian Britain look like?
|
91Èȱ¬ Asian Network wants to find the image which best represents Asian Britain Today - and the network wants your pictures to tell the story.
Ìý
Whether it's a picture of yourself, your family, food, lifestyle, music or even the
street you live... between Monday 11 and Friday 15 December tons of snaps
will be displayed at bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork.
Ìý
There are top prizes for the best pictures including a chance to meet Sonia Deol on the
Asian Network Breakfast show.
Ìý
Send snaps by email to anphotos@bbc.co.uk or by mobile phone to 81869.
Ìý
Each weekday a digital radio will be given away to the lucky listener
who enters a photograph and correctly answers a multiple choice question on air.
Ìý
The
overall winner will be decided by the listeners via an online vote which takes place
from Monday 18 to Friday 22 December.
Ìý
This overall winner will receive a digital camera,
their picture made up onto a large canvas and they will be invited to the Sonia Deol show as
a VIP guest.
Ìý
All pictures will be celebrated on the Asian Network website picture gallery, side-by-side with the presenters' entries.
Ìý
Sonia Deol said: "The picture for me has got to be the one I took
when I was hosting BhangraFest. At one point I just picked up the camera and took a
picture of the audience. We've got families, people hanging out with their mates, just such a mixture and a variety of people.
Ìý
"The energy and the passion and the real sense
of the identity that was coming through on this picture completely sums up Asian Britain
today for me!"
