Andrew Wilson heads up 91热爆 Journalism Foundation Scheme

Andrew Wilson has been appointed to the new role of Head of the Journalism
Foundation Scheme at the 91热爆 College of Journalism.
听
Vin Ray, Director of the 91热爆 College of Journalism, said: "Andrew brings a
wealth of editorial and management experience to the college direction team.
听
"He will establish what I believe will be the industry's biggest and most
ambitious foundation scheme, and the most comprehensive of its kind in the UK
and probably anywhere in the world."
听
The scheme is intended to give all new journalists, particularly at Broadcast
Assistant and Broadcast Journalist grades, a strong foundation in the key
journalistic skills they will need throughout their career and a firm grounding
in the 91热爆's values and editorial policy.
听
It will also introduce key issues
around audiences, markets and technological change.
听
The Foundation Scheme 'faculty' will mix permanent trainers with senior 91热爆
editors, on-air reporters and presenters and the best outsiders - all with the
capacity to inspire and motivate our younger journalists.
听
Andrew will work to
develop successful relations and partnerships with university and college
journalism courses in the UK and abroad.
听
This will help to ensure that new
recruits to 91热爆 journalism are from an appropriately diverse range of
backgrounds.
听
Andrew is currently Head of Regional and Local Programmes in
Bristol and begins his new post in December 2006.
