New Broadcasting Agreement for 91热爆 in Guernsey

91热爆 Governor Ranjit Sondhi CBE visits Guernsey on Wednesday 4 October to sign a new 91热爆
Broadcasting Agreement with the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
听
The agreement documents the 91热爆's provision of broadcasting services in the
Bailiwick and accountability arrangements in the shape of a Listeners' Panel.
听
The
current agreement was signed in 1998 and expires at the end of 2006.
听
The document agrees that 91热爆 Radio Guernsey will continue to provide a range
of programmes and services including comprehensive coverage of public meetings of
the States of Deliberation.
听
It describes how the 91热爆 will work with the States to
provide public service information in the event of an emergency and the work of
the Listeners' Panel whose role will be to advise the 91热爆 on content of 91热爆
programmes and performance generally.
听

The press are invited to witness the signing of the agreement at noon at the
91热爆's studios in Bulwer Avenue on Wednesday 4 October 2006.
听
Minister for the 91热爆 Department of the States of Guernsey Mike Torode will sign
the document on behalf of the States of Guernsey.
听
91热爆 Guernsey has been
broadcasting in the Bailiwick since 16 March 1982.
听
Ranjit Sondhi is the member of the 91热爆 Board of Governors with special
responsibility for the English Regions. The Channel Islands are managed by 91热爆
South West.
