Sir Terry Wogan and 91热爆 Radio 2 are to host a Gala Charity performance of Wicked, the award-winning Broadway smash hit musical that flies into the Apollo Victoria theatre, London next month.

The special performance takes place on Wednesday 4 October and will raise money for the 91热爆's Children In Need charity.

Sir Terry says: "This is a wonderful and welcome gesture by the producers and cast of Wicked on behalf of Children In Need.

"I don't need to tell you how worthy of your support the 91热爆's Children in Need is so please come along to this special show - and I'll see you there!"

A small number of special tickets are available at 拢150, which include a pre-show reception with champagne, a premium seat in the stalls or circle and a hot buffet supper after the show hosted by Terry and other Radio 2 presenters at a West End hotel.

Notes to Editors

The musical is the story of these two unlikely friends and how they end up as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.

Based on the novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire; music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz; and book by Winnie Holzman.

Principal London cast: Idina Menzel, recreating her Tony Award-winning Broadway performance, as Elphaba; Helen Dallimore, making her West End debut, as Glinda; Adam Garcia as Fiyero; Miriam Margolyes as Madame Morrible; Nigel Planer as The Wizard; Martin Ball as Doctor Dillamond; James Gillan as Boq; and Katie Rowley Jones as Nessarose.
