Shropshire TV has been on a mission
to seek out people and places from around the county in an effort
to gain an insight into the spiritual make-up of the area.
听
A week-long series of films goes out between Monday 14 and Sunday 20
August, examining faith and religion in modern society.
听
The week of programming looks into people and places in Shropshire that have a strong spiritual character.
听
Subjects featured in the films include a little
known Buddhist retreat centre for women, situated near Whitchurch,
and two of the county's druids who visit Nescliffe Iron Age Fort and
discuss their way of life and spiritual inspiration.
听
Also featured is a discussion on religious jewellery and tattoos to discover
if there is a deeper reason behind their popularity aside from keeping up
with the latest fashions.
