Rachel Innes-Lumsden,
recently appointed to the new role of Creative Director of Development
in Factual & Learning, has appointed Heads of Development to work in three
of the 91Èȱ¬'s F&L's Studios.

They will report to Rachel Innes-Lumsden and the relevant Studio Head.
Ìý
Alistair Pegg has been appointed as the Head of Development for Science and History working in the studio headed up by John
Lynch.
Ìý
Alistair Pegg has most recently been working as a Development Executive at Diverse. Before that, he was a Development Producer at RDF working on projects such as Ladette to Lady and Holiday Showdown.
Ìý
Alistair says: "I'm thrilled about the prospect of coming to the 91Èȱ¬ for the first time, and thrilled about joining Science and History, a studio that has set a world-class standard in its genre.

"I'm looking forward to leading its development
effort by building on the studio's strengths and also taking it into
some bold new areas."
Ìý
Simon Rockell has been appointed as the Head of Development for Documentaries and Specialist Features working in the studio headed up by Sarah
Hargreaves. He too comes from the independent sector, most recently working at RDF.

He has also worked at Twenty Twenty Television where he secured a number of commissions including Brat Camp and That'll Team 'Em.

He says: "The output of the 91Èȱ¬ in terms of documentaries and specialist factual is incredibly diverse and there is a real opportunity to make shows that are both innovative and popular."

Helen Royle will be working in the Features and Formats studio, headed up by the recently appointed Bridget
Boseley.

Helen has worked as a director, series producer and executive for the 91Èȱ¬ as well as for Granada, working on a number of successful series including Poor Little Rich Girls, the For One Night Only strand and a number of one-off documentaries including Men in Tights and Too Scared for School.

She says: "Joining the newly established Features & Formats studio is an exciting challenge and I can't wait to get started."

Commenting on the appointments, Rachel Innes-Lumsden adds: "I'm pleased that we have appointed three such experienced and exciting Heads of Development.

The role of the three Heads of Development is to encourage bold and ambitious ideas with real scale for their studios as well as forging ahead with cross-genre and multi-platform development.

The post of Head of Development, Features and Documentaries, Birmingham still has to be filled.
Ìý
Rachel Innes-Lumsden, alongside the Studio Heads, will provide creative leadership
to the Heads of Development as well as overseeing a central cross-platform
team. Each Head of Development will have a team reporting to them in their
studio working closely with the central team.
