The Kumars at No 42 returns to 91Èȱ¬ ONE, Friday 14 July at 9.30pm
The Kumars are back for a brand new series of The Kumars at No 42, the unique cross between a sitcom and a chat show in which celebrity guests are interviewed by a fictional Indian family in their respectable suburban home.
Ìý
The show returns to 91Èȱ¬ ONE on Friday 14 July.
Ìý
The first two guests in the new series are the versatile and much-loved actress
Felicity Kendal and fiery chef and reality TV star Gordon
Ramsay.
Ìý
Talking about her love of the country in which she
was raised, Felicity tells the Kumars: "I was once in India with a banana and
some nuts and we foolishly started feeding some monkeys - there
were about 3,000 of the things and they all looked incredibly fierce.
Ìý
"Suddenly one of the big ones jumped on me and wrestled me to the
ground scratching my head.
Ìý
"My friend who was with me just kept shouting 'Look them in the eye! Look them in the eye!' which was pretty tricky considering there were so many thousands of them!"
Ìý
She gives her verdict on why The Good Life was so popular: "I think the British have something about wellies which is why [the series] did so well - it's something about the rubber I think."
Ìý
And she
comments on her famous Rear-Of-The-Year award.
Ìý
Meanwhile Gordon Ramsay chats about the allure of keeping pigs: "I now have two rare Berkshire pigs living in my garden because who doesn't love a bacon sandwich?
Ìý
"One's got a lovely voluptuous bottom and the
other one's got a small concave chest with minute teats, so I decided
to keep it simple and went for the names Trinny and Susannah."
Ìý
And
why it always seems to be Mums who take a fancy to him: "I
do get female attention; it's quite embarrassing really - although
of course very flattering - but it always seems to be pretty
young girls who all say 'My Mum's so in love with you!'"
Ìý

Ìý

wants what every Asian mother wants - a
wedding; and Vincent Ebrahim is Dad who is keen to get down
to business - literally.
Ìý
