1Xtra crosses the Atlantic for the month of July where the station will be joined by the cream of black music including Jermaine Dupri and Shabba Ranks for 1Xtra In The USA, a series of exclusive broadcasts from four key United States cities.

Leading 1Xtra DJs Ronnie Herel, L Double, Robbo Ranx and Semtex will be broadcasting live and direct from Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York and Houston, taking listeners on an unforgettable musical journey from each city's black music scenes.

1Xtra will broadcast its flagship 7.00 to 10.00 week night shows from each city, every week in July.
Ìý
Ronnie Herel kicks off the tour on 3 July with RnB in Atlanta, followed by L Double with Drum & Bass in LA on 11 July.
Ìý
Dancehall in New York comes courtesy of Robbo Ranx on 20 July and Semtex finishes proceedings with Hip Hop in Houston on 28 July.

Listeners will also get a taste of the club scenes at each stop, with the DJs playing special club sets that will broadcast on 1Xtra Live each Saturday night from 8 July.

Dropping into the studios for live sets and exclusive interviews will be a host of extra special guests including super-producer Jermaine Dupri chatting to Ronnie in Atlanta, drum & bass pioneer Photek joining L Double in LA, the legendary Shabba Ranks who will be catching up with Robbo in New York, and joining Semtex in Texas will be Pimp C and Bun B of UGK from Houston's own 'chopped & screwed' hip hop scene.
