During his highly respected playing career, Carr was responsible for the formation of the Rendell-Carr quintet with Don Rendell and the ground-breaking jazz-rock band Nucleus as well as being a highly sought after sideman.

Ìý

He has written biographies of jazz musicians Keith Jarrett and Miles Davis and is the co-author of reference works such as The Rough Guide to Jazz.

Lifetime Achievement

Ìý

The 91Èȱ¬ is delighted to present the 91Èȱ¬ Jazz Lifetime Achievement Award to Quincy Delight Jones Jr, better known to his friends and the industry as 'Q'.
