Jeff Zycinski, Head of Radio, 91热爆 Scotland, is to re-locate to Inverness as part of the
broadcaster's plan to position key editorial roles in regional offices.
听
The move from Glasgow, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year,
forms part of 91热爆 Scotland's strengthening commitment to an all-Scotland
strategy.
听
Ken MacQuarrie, Controller of 91热爆 Scotland, said: "I believe this is an
important step for 91热爆 Scotland which will provide a valuable perspective to our
senior editorial team."
听
Jeff's management style involves regular visits to centres outside Glasgow and
he will continue to visit production centres across Scotland.
听
He said: "I am looking forward to the move. The digital revolution will not be
confined to Pacific Quay in Glasgow and regional centres, such as Inverness,
will benefit greatly from the technological advances we are making.
听
"Inverness is a fast-growing city and it is important that 91热爆 Scotland is
connected to that growth."
听
Plans to develop the Inverness base into a premier broadcasting centre are at an
advanced stage.
听
Over the next few weeks a user group will be set up to
participate in the detailed development of the site.
