Two million movie lovers in Tanzania will see a 91Èȱ¬ advertisement, filmed in Tanzania, when a mobile cinema visits their region.

The ad - promoting the availability of 91Èȱ¬ programmes through partner station Radio Free Africa - will play for three months from 3 May 2006.
Ìý
Mobile cinemas carrying the ad will visit areas around Arusha, Dar es Salaam, Dodoma, Kilimanjaro, Morogoro and Tanga reaching approximately 2.5 million people.

Tido Mhando, Head of 91Èȱ¬ Swahili, said: "We value our audiences and we are always looking for new ways to reach them.

"A significant number of our audiences live in the rural areas so reaching them through mobile cinemas seemed like the obvious choice.

"The advertisement was first shown on domestic channel Star TV in 2005 and proved to be very successful, now rural audiences, with limited access to television, can enjoy them too."

The advertising space was booked through Kenyan advertising agency, Skyfire East Africa Ltd.

The 91Èȱ¬ can be heard through Radio Free Africa in Mwanza on 89.8FM, in Shinyanga on 88.2FM, in Kagera on 94.1FM, in Arusha on 89.0FM, in Dar Es Salaam on 98.6FM, in Mbeya on 88.8FM, in Dodoma on 89.0FM, in Rukwa on 89.1FM, in Ruvuma on 89.6FM, in Mtwara and Lindi on 89.0FM, in Singida on 88.3FM, in Iringa on 93.5FM, in Tanga on 99.3FM, in Tabora on 90.0FM, in Kigoma on 90.0FM, in Morogoro on 93.8FM, in Kilimanjaro on 88.2FM, in Mara on 93.5FM and nationwide on 1377AM.
