Friday Night with Jonathan Ross: David Morrissey on sex scenes
Basic Instinct II star David Morrissey tells Jonathan Ross on 91Èȱ¬ ONE tonight about his experience of playing nude scenes and of co-starring opposite Sharon Stone.
Ìý
David says: "Most people on set are men, it's more difficult for actresses."
Ìý
He comments: "When you're doing sex scenes it's nice to get to know the other person . Sharon's in great shape. It was insulting to her that the press were saying she shouldn't do it [sex scenes] at the age of 47."
Ìý
Also appearing on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross is The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins who talks frankly about his self-image.
Ìý
"I used to take a lot of supplements, within three months I went from being overweight to super-toned. It was mostly to look good on-stage," he says.
Ìý
"[But] I ended up with an ulcer, and after the operation it was difficult for me to even burp . body image is something that affects everybody.
Ìý
"It's hard to talk about it, for me it was a really personal journey, it was all about me and how I perceived myself.
Ìý
"When you put on weight you carry yourself in a different way, you don't project the same confidence."
Ìý
And Jonathan talks to Dennis Waterman and Amanda Redman who star in 91Èȱ¬ ONE's hit drama series New Tricks.
Ìý
Dennis reminisces about his famous on and off-screen friendship with the late John Thaw.
Ìý
"John Thaw was unbelievably generous, I worked with him when he was at his happiest. He was very private, quiet, he didn't want showbiz. Maybe he was a victim of his own success," says Dennis.
Ìý
Dennis also reveals he does not like his Little Britain persona: "'I've no objection to it, but they're not funny."
Ìý
Tonight's show has music from Dirty Pretty Things performing their new single Bang Bang You're Dead.
