Ìý

The 91Èȱ¬'s top team for the 159th running of the world's most famous steeplechase - on Saturday 8 April - is once again led on 91Èȱ¬ ONE by Sue Barker and Clare Balding, who will introduce top quality racing action from Aintree.

Ìý

They will be joined by Richard Pitman, Peter Scudamore and Norman Williamson who will report and provide analysis from the paddock.

Rishi Persad and special guest John Parrott will be out and about reporting from around the course, and Angus Loughran will provide the latest betting and form news.

Ìý

The 91Èȱ¬'s expert commentary team is led by Jim McGrath, who is joined by Ian Bartlett, Tony O'Hehir and Darren Owen for the big race.

Ìý

As host broadcaster, providing live coverage for broadcasters across the world, the 91Èȱ¬'s 52 camera operation includes 'Rider-cams' on three jockeys, as well as cameras mounted on four of the fences.

Ìý

Live 91Èȱ¬ television coverage from Aintree will also include five races each day on Thursday and Friday.

Ìý

Saturday's Grand National Grandstand will include live coverage of four races and then build up to the main race that begins at 4.15pm.

Ìý

On Friday evening (11.35pm, 91Èȱ¬ TWO), in A National Lottery: Winners and Losers, the countdown to the 159th running of the world's most famous steeplechase begins.

Ìý

Ìý

The programme also features interviews with some of the great jockeys who never laid claim to the biggest prize in steeplechasing - from John Francome and Peter Scudamore to Tony McCoy in the modern era.

Ìý

Commentary on 11 races at the three-day meeting will be provided by Five Live.

Ìý

Luke Harvey will be providing racing reports during the Breakfast programme at 6.55, 7.55 and 8.55sm.

Ìý

Throughout the meeting, Radio Merseyside (95.8FM) will be on hand with news and information.
