Davina McCall launches her new tv series,
Davina, Wednesday 15 February 2006, 91Èȱ¬ ONE
Crazy chick Charlotte
Church talks music, men and marriage with Davina
McCall in the first episode of the midweek entertainment
talk show Davina.
Ìý
The Welsh diva talks about life with Welsh rugby union international Gavin Henson,
the other love in her life, singing, and how proud she is to have
given up smoking.
Ìý
On moving in with Gavin: "I've always lived with
Gav; three months into our relationship I just moved in. Now we've
got our own place and I decorated it all. I didn't get any interior
designers in, my dad did it all for me.
Ìý
"In my bedroom I have got
an Indian theme with all beautiful saris. It's got lots of dark
wood too so it's not too girly."
Ìý
On quitting smoking: "I have quit smoking. It's
been really hard as I smoked 20 a day. I didn't have any patches
or anything.
Ìý
"There were lots of stories in the press saying
that Gavin really wanted me to give up but he's not like that at
all. Gavin never puts any pressure on me to be healthy or anything
even though he's super healthy, he's a dreamboat.
Ìý
"He's naturally gorgeous,
he doesn't spend hours doing his hair or anything. But the
tan is fake!"
Ìý
On celebrating her 20th birthday: "It's my birthday
next week and Gavin bought me a dog, a little Jack Russell, she's
called Tina. She's so beautiful."
Ìý
Davina
suggests it could be a pre-cursor to having a baby: "She cried all night
last night and I had to look after her so I'm absolutely knackered! Maybe
that will deter me a bit, all those early mornings."
Ìý
Charlotte was also faced with three moral dilemmas
posed to her by Davina the first of which was: You're at a karaoke
bar, you get called up to sing a Girls Aloud song, what would you
do? "Well, I could sing it ten times better than they ever could!"
Ìý
And with Valentines Day looming, Davina asked the
all important question about marriage, would Charlotte say yes if
Gavin asked her? "Probably yes!"
Ìý
Davina also welcomes to the show Tess Daly and Vernon
Kay; actor Max Beesley and Julian
Clary.
Ìý
The music will be provided by KT
Tunstall performing Another Place to Fall and
Charlotte Church will also be performing live in the studio at 91Èȱ¬
Television Centre, singing her new single Moodswings.
Ìý
Guests for next week's show on Wednesday 15 February 2006 at 8.00pm on 91Èȱ¬ ONE
include Pierce Brosnan, Westlife performing
their new single Amazing, Martin
Shaw, Patrick
Kielty and singer-songwriter Corinne
Bailey Rae.
