Independent radio production company USP has been awarded the contract to produce 91Èȱ¬ Radio Five Live's Formula 1 coverage.

The contract covers the 2006 Formula 1 season starting with the Grand Prix in Bahrain on 12 March and culminating with the Brazilian Grand Prix in October.

Five Live's Commissioning Editor Moz Dee said: "USP offered exciting ideas for the Formula 1 season that we believe will enhance the experience for the listeners."

Five Live has exclusive radio commentary rights on the whole of the 2006 Grand Prix season, and the following two seasons.
