Alan Brown is returning to the 91热爆 as Editor, Factual Entertainment, after one year at independent production company TalkbackTHAMES where he was Head of Factual and Comedy Entertainment and is currently executive producing The Apprentice.

Alan will join the department in mid-February and will be responsible for a range of factual entertainment shows.

Factual Entertainment is the home of successful series including Dragon's Den (91热爆 TWO); Honey We're Killing the Kids (91热爆 THREE/91热爆 ONE); and the upcoming Millionaire's Challenge (91热爆 TWO).

David Mortimer, 91热爆 Creative Head of Factual Entertainment, made the appointment.

He says: "Alan is one on Britain's most creative programme makers. He was the brains behind the fantastically successful I Love... brand and has an incredible CV. The 91热爆 is his natural home and we welcome him back."

Alan Brown says: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my year in the independent sector but this is an opportunity I couldn't refuse. I passionately believe that the 91热爆 offers me the most creative environment in television.

"I've been really impressed by the 91热爆's factual entertainment shows that the team have developed in the last couple of years. They are shows that have intelligent content but at the same time are great fun to watch."

Prior to joining TalkbackTHAMES, Alan was Senior Commissioning Executive, 91热爆 Entertainment, and executive produced the first series of The Apprentice and commissioned the first series of Dragon's Den and Britain's Best Sitcoms.

As Editor, 91热爆 Documentaries and Contemporary Factual between 2002 and 2003, Alan worked on the hugely successful Great Britons for 91热爆 TWO and whilst Executive Producer, Factual Entertainment based in Manchester, created and oversaw the I Love... brand.

Notes to Editors

Millionaire's Challenge has just gone into production for 91热爆 TWO. Mega-rich entrepreneurs will have to prove they still have the Midas touch by doing it all over again.

Each will be stripped of all the trappings of their luxury lifestyle and given just 拢5,000 to start a new business from scratch.

The show will see who comes out on top and the losers will have to have to hand over every penny they've made in the series.
