The 91热爆 is to launch a Ukrainian language version of the latest edition of its code of journalist ethics and host a debate on public broadcasting in Ukraine.
听
At a special event in Kyiv on Wednesday 23 November, Director of 91热爆 World Service, Nigel Chapman, will officially launch Editorial Guidelines - the 91热爆's Values and Standards in Ukrainian.
听
The document will then facilitate a major round table discussion with Ukrainian media experts.
听
Led by Executive Editor, 91热爆 World Service Eurasia Region, Olexiy Solohubenko, 'The 91热爆's Editorial Guidelines - a Ukrainian perspective' debate will be held at the Kyiv Media Reform Centre on Thursday 24 November.
听
Nigel Chapman said: "For us at the 91热爆, this small volume is something very precious. It is a cornerstone of our daily activity, a distillation of experience, common sense and values built up by the 91热爆 over many decades.
听
"We are proud of the fact that the 91热爆 Guidelines are considered a useful and respected point of reference by media professionals all over the world."

Head of 91热爆 Ukrainian Service, Maciek Bernatt-Reszczynski, added: "By publishing a Ukrainian language edition of our Guidelines, we want to share our editorial standards with colleagues in the Ukrainian media.

"We hope that this document will help inform and facilitate the current debate on the public service broadcasting in Ukraine to the benefit of the Ukrainian audiences."

The previous edition of the 91热爆 Guidelines was published in Ukraine in 1998 and has been highly popular with Ukraine's media professionals.
听
Apart from a limited print run, the new Ukrainian language edition will be also available in an electronic format from the 91热爆 Ukrainian service's website, bbcukrainian.com.

The 91热爆's latest edition of Editorial Guidelines came into effect on听25 July 2005, revised to reflect the changing media environment, and to apply editorial lessons learned by the 91热爆 since the last update in 2000.
