It's being billed as the biggest soccer match of the year, as 91热爆 Northern Ireland's Stephen Nolan and his team of 'footie supremos' take on the might of Ulster's politicians, all for 91热爆 Children in Need.
听
In a one-off, probably never to be repeated, five-a-side match on Monday 14 November, Nolan will be leading his team out onto the pitch at Queen's PEC in Belfast.
听
Those joining Stephen will be his producer Mike Lee, Sunday World's Jim McDowell, presenter William Crawley and researcher Cameron Mitchell.
听
The opposing team will be made up of some of the best-known faces in local politics.
听
The DUP's Ian Paisley Jnr joins forces with Alliance leader David Ford, Jim Rodgers of the UUP, the SDLP's Alex Attwood and Sinn Fein's Barry McElduff.
听
Refereed by Northern Ireland's favourite housewife, May McFettridge, the match kicks off at
5.30pm.
听
Stephen Nolan said: "It is these politicians that I do battle with every day. I'm sure to look forward to giving these politicians a good run for their money up and down the pitch.
听
"I have insisted Jim Rodgers wears a green top and it will be the first time that a Sinn Fein politician wears the colour orange. I am taking this very seriously. Game On!"
听
Free tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime experience will be given away on the Stephen Nolan Show, live on 91热爆 Radio Ulster from today (Tuesday) until Friday, each day from 9.00 to 10.30am.
听
A collection for 91热爆 Children in Need will be taken at the event.
This year's 91热爆 Children in Need is on Friday 18 November on Radio Ulster from 7.00am and on 91热爆 ONE NI from 7.00pm.
听
Since 1980, over 拢10m has been raised on the night by generous donations and fundraisers in Northern Ireland.
