Welsh singing stars Katherine Jenkins and Aled Jones will be belting out some of the best known music from the movies at a film-themed Proms in the Park in Swansea in September.

The Proms in the Park event, now in its third year, is one of five taking place around the UK, featuring all the 91热爆's orchestras for the first time.

And they will be linking up with the Last Night of the Proms concert itself at the Royal Albert Hall in London throughout the evening.

The 91热爆 National Orchestra of Wales will be in Swansea's Singleton Park for the 10 September spectacular, with Cardiff choir Serendipity joining them on stage with a celebration of some of the most famous film theme tunes ever written.

The Proms for 2005 will also be marking the 200th anniversary of Nelson's famous victory at the Battle of Trafalgar.

To mark the battle's centenary, Henry Wood wrote his Fantasia on British Sea-Songs, an integral part of the Last Night experience.

And to celebrate the work's 100 years, the Proms restores its original introductory naval bugle calls, which will sound from nation to nation, linking the participating parks and the Royal Albert Hall.

Televised highlights of Swansea's experience, plus offerings from the other four Proms in the Park, will be shown as part of 91热爆 ONE and 91热爆 TWO's live coverage of the Last Night of the Proms.

The interactive service will also enable digital TV viewers to access programme notes for the concert in the Royal Albert Hall and live footage from Proms in the Park concerts, while 91热爆 Radio Wales will be featuring live coverage from the Swansea event.

bbc.co.uk/proms also provides full details and booking facilities for each concert.

Tickets for Singleton Park are priced 拢7.50 in advance and 拢9 on the day.

Children under 12 can go free but must be accompanied by an adult.

Doors open at 4.30pm for a 7.30pm concert.

Tickets are available by calling the 91热爆 National Orchestra of Wales information line on 08700 13 1812 or Swansea's Grand Theatre Box Office on 01792 475 715, or by calling in person at the Grand Theatre Box Office, Singleton Street, Swansea.
