Kirsty Gallacher is to join 91Èȱ¬ Radio Five Live from next month in her first outing on national radio.

The broadcaster who recently triumphed in television's The Games brings her raft of experience in sport to a new programme that she will co host with Five Live's Phil Williams.
Ìý
Kirsty and Phil, which starts on Saturday 16 July on Five Live, will run from 9.00 to 11.00am.
Ìý
It will be a mixture of sports discussion and high profile showbiz guests and kick starts Saturday's sports schedule.
Ìý
The first show will be a special on the British Open from St Andrews.

Kirsty Gallacher said: "I'm delighted to be joining 91Èȱ¬ Radio Five Live and being a sports and news junkie I've always been a fan of the station.

"It's a challenge but it will be great and it will be nice to have Phil alongside me."

It will be broadcast on Five Live (909 and 693 AM, online and digital radio and television) on Saturdays between 9.00 and 11am from 16 July. The programmne runs for eight weeks until 3 September.
