The 91热爆's iCan website, which helps people get involved in their neighbourhood, will have a new look and name this week as it becomes Action Network - .
听
The site has been fully re-designed, to make it faster, simple and more intuitive to use.
听
New features include: a one-stop shop for local information - enabling users to see in one place notices and events from other users together with local campaigns and articles and information about democratic representatives; the ability for users to recommend organisations active in civic life and to add links to useful websites.
听
Martin Vogel, Action Network Project Leader, says: "The new look and feel for Action Network makes the site easier to use and the name change will give a clearer indication to the users what the site offers.
听
"What hasn't changed is the 91热爆's impartial role, providing a neutral platform to help anyone in the UK become more involved in local civic and democratic activities.
听
"We hope the changes and the new name will help make Action Network a compelling place to visit and help people take action on the issues that matter to them."
听
The site was launched in 2003 as a resource to help people take first steps in getting involved in civic life.
听
It offers tools to get started and information across a broad spectrum of interests, from starting a campaign for a pelican crossing to resources on animal testing and ID cards.
