91热爆 Albanian launches first-ever election roadshow

The 91热爆 Albanian service is to launch its first ever election roadshow, taking its radio programme makers directly to audiences outside the Albanian capital.


The seven-day roadshow kicks off in Shkodra on Monday 20 June 2005 when audiences will be given the opportunity to voice concerns on key political and social issues affecting their lives.


Listeners to 91热爆 Albanian's recently launched morning news and current affairs programme, 91热爆 Sot (91热爆 Today), will hear live broadcasts from the roadshow on each day.


Julia Goga-Cooke, Head of the 91热爆 Albanian service, said: "We are thrilled to launch our first ever roadshow during the current election campaign and we look forward to engaging with our audiences outside Tirana and discussing the issues central to their lives.


"91热爆 Albanian will also use this opportunity to develop its relationship with its TV and radio partners in order to provide the best content for its audience."


The 91热爆 Albanian service will report on a selection of key issues on the election roadshow starting with the topic unemployment in Shkodra on Monday 20 June 2005.


Urban development and internal migration will be discussed in Durres on Tuesday 21 June followed by agriculture in Fier on Wednesday 22 June.


The growing tourism industry is the central topic in Vlora on Thursday 23 June with heritage and vicinity to Greece being discussed in Gjirokastra on Friday 24 June.


Environmental issues and tackling pollution is the focus in Elbasan on Monday 27 June followed by education and issues of the Greek minority when the election roadshow arrives in Korca on Tuesday 28 June.

91热爆 Albanian was re-launched in 1993 and is rebroadcast by more than 40 radio and TV stations in Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Greece.
