Match Point for 91Èȱ¬ Films in Cannes

Woody Allen's Match Point, a 91Èȱ¬ Films co-production, has been selected for an out of competition screening in Cannes on 12 May.

Ìý

The first Woody Allen film to be shot in the UK, Match Point stars Scarlett Johansson, Emily Mortimer, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Brian Cox.

A busy Cannes market will include a distinctive and varied crop of 91Èȱ¬ Films titles currently in post-production:

Michael Winterbottom's A Cock and Bull Story, based around the novel Tristram Shandy, starring Steve Coogan, Jeremy Northam, Shirley Henderson, Ian Hart, Gillian Anderson and Stephen Fry

Michael Caton-Jones' intense drama Shooting Dogs, starring John Hurt and Hugh Dancy, set against the Rwandan genocide

Ìý

Peter Cattaneo's Pobby and Dingan, the Australia-set tale of the bizarre and inexplicable disappearance of Kellyanne's imaginary friends, Pobby and Dingan

Oliver Parker's Click, a funny and fresh romantic comedy starring Piper Perabo, Matthew Goode, Lena Headey, Anthony Head, Celia Imrie and Sue Johnston.

Debbie Isitt's sharp comedy Confetti, with a cast including Martin Freeman, Jessica Stevenson, Felicity Montagu, Jimmy Carr and Alison Steadman, which takes a look at the wild world of the wedding industry

91Èȱ¬ Films' critically acclaimed Bullet Boy, a provocative and powerful look at gun crime in inner-city London starring Ashley Walters, which is enjoying marked success at the UK box office with a take so far in excess of £350,000.

Danny Boyle's Millions, a quirky comic tale of two young lads who stumble upon the haul from a bank robbery, has taken almost $3 million in the United States and will open in the UK on 10 June.

The multi-award winning My Summer of Love from Pawel Pawlikowski will open in the US on 17 June.

Shooting is underway on Marc Evans' Snow Cake, starring Alan Rickman, Sigourney Weaver and Carrie-Anne Moss, a UK/Canada co-production from Revolution Films and Rhombus Media. The screenplay is the first by promising UK writer Angela Pell.
