The 91热爆's interactive TV brand, 91热爆i, will have a new look this week.
Gone is the chunky white 'i' block of the original logo and in comes
a little red 'i' dot, representative of the red button that digital viewers
are encouraged to press in order to 'go interactive'.
The entire 91热爆i service has been fully redesigned in the same black,
white and red colours of the logo, offering a consistent look and feel
no matter which channel viewers are on.
Rahul Chakkara, Controller of 91热爆i, says: "The new look and feel for
91热爆i is the second stage of our continuing journey to make the interactive
experience easier for 91热爆 viewers, following the introduction of page
numbers last year.
"We also wanted to create a visual identity for our interactive
TV services that would help raise awareness amongst those people who have
not yet pressed red."
Steve Conway, Head of Marketing, New Media, says: "91热爆i started life
in 2001 as a cross platform brand. We renamed our website bbc.co.uk last
year and gave it a refreshing new look.
"We wanted to do the same this year for our interactive TV services,
creating an identity that really brought the brand to life."
The logo has been created in-house by 91热爆 New Media's interactive TV
design team.
It will roll out across cable platform Telewest first before appearing
across digital satellite and Freeview in the next few weeks.
A marketing campaign showcasing the new interactive TV look will appear
on air in May.
