91热爆 Chairman Michael Grade is to be guest of honour at this year's Ruby
Awards.
The awards, held in the National Railway Museum in York on Monday 16
May, celebrate the best of 91热爆 regional news television.
They are being held this year in Yorkshire following the success of
the region's 6.30pm news programme - Look North - which won Best Evening
News Programme last year.
91热爆 Director of Nations and Regions, Pat Loughrey, said: "The Rubys,
our annual celebration of the best of the Nations and Regions' television news
programmes, have been extended this year to recognise the talents and
achievements of our current affairs and political journalists.
"It's been a significant year for news across our nations and regions.
听
"I am looking forward to another excellent evening celebrating the talent
responsible for the most-watched news and current affairs programmes
in the UK."
Twelve awards will be presented this year during the evening.
The categories are: Outstanding Camera Work, Outstanding Craft Skills
in Post-Production, Broadcast of Diversity Issues, Best TV News Journalist,
Best Current Affairs Film, Best News Film, Best Audience Generated Content,
Best Political Programme, Best Exclusive Story, Best Current Affairs
Programme, Best Presentation Team and Best Evening News Programme.
