Ìý

Both conductors have worked extensively with the 91Èȱ¬ Symphony Orchestra to great acclaim and forged excellent relations with the players.

Ìý

Jirí Belohlávek takes up the position of Chief Conductor officially at the First Night of the Proms 2006 and becomes Chief Conductor Designate until then.

Ìý

David Robertson will become Principal Guest Conductor from October 2005 when he will open the 2005-2006 91Èȱ¬ Symphony Orchestra season.

Ìý

He follows the tenure of Jukka-Pekka Saraste which ends in August.
