Radio 1 live events - brand new for 2005

91热爆 Radio 1 today announced its live events calendar for 2005.

The line up this year features a series of events that are brand new for the station, continuing Radio 1's commitment to constant evolution and expansion in the area of live music.

The calendar is a mix of events staged solely by Radio 1 as well as live broadcasts from the most cutting edge festivals and gigs across the UK and the world.

The highlights of the new events for Radio 1 in 2005 include:

South by South West, Austin, Texas 聳 March;


Westwood in Atlanta 聳 March;


The Lock Up in LA 聳 March;


Skolbeats, Brazil 聳 April;


Radio 1 Presents Green Day, UK - June;


Exit Festival, Serbia-Montennegro - July;


Global Gathering, UK 聳 July;


Six Weeks of Summer 聳 Radio 1 travels to the big summer destinations along with its listeners 聳 July/August.

Jason Carter, Executive Producer, Live Events, Radio 1, said: "We've made a huge effort to reflect a large number of fresh events this year, whilst continuing to represent all areas of live music.

"As well as all the new elements of our live music output we will be staging some amazing one off gigs with some of the biggest artists around, hosting another One Big Weekend, returning to Ibiza and representing the major festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading/Leeds and T-In Park."
