The 91热爆 has launched its annual search to find Sport's Unsung Heroes.
91热爆 Radio Nottingham and 91热爆 East Midlands Today are searching for
the region's unsung sporting greats who will be honoured at the 91热爆
East Midlands Sports Awards.
Last year's winner was Chris Gamble, a retired policeman who helped
transform a sports ground near Melton Mowbray.
From painting the lines to organising teams, Chris was a shining example
of the sort of person that is the lifeblood of sport across the county.
This year nominations are sought for individuals who, on a voluntary
basis, make a difference to sport.
The person must be over 16 years of age and give their time and talents
for free to enable others to participate in sport.
The East Midland Award winner will be revealed on Sunday 5 December
at a gala night supported by Sport England and the East Midlands Development
Agency which will be broadcast live on 91热爆 Local Radio.
Mark Shardlow, Sports Editor at 91热爆 East Midlands Today, says: "There
are lots of people like Chris who give so much time and effort without
pay to make sport happen for other people.
"We want to recognise them and help encourage others to give something
back to sport."
Nomination forms can be downloaded from bbc.co.uk/sportspersonality
or collected from the reception area of Radio Nottingham.
Information can also be found on Ceefax page 397.
