Adrian Mole, now aged 34 and three quarters, has returned and this time
a legendary 91热爆 Radio Leicester presenter has made his way into the
former angst-ridden teenager's famous diary.
John Florance, presenter of 91热爆 Radio Leicester's
Talkback programme and stalwart of the station for the last 20 years,
is referenced in the latest edition of Sue Townsend's adventures of
Adrian Mole - The Weapons of Mass Destruction.
In the book, Adrian is interviewed on 91热爆 Radio Leicester by John,
and Sue Townsend revealed during an interview on Martin Ballard's show
yesterday (7 October) that she just couldn't resist including the popular
presenter in her new novel.
John and Sue Townsend have known each other for many years, so it was
a fitting inclusion for an old friend to feature in her latest work.
John says: "It's an absolute honour and a privilege to be included
in Adrian Mole's latest diary.
"I have known Sue for many years, in fact since before Adrian
was born, so this is a wonderful experience for me to be mentioned in
Adrian's latest musings on life."
Sue Townsend's Adrian Mole Diaries have sold a staggering ten million
copies and have been translated into 42 different languages.
Now with Adrian's help and 91热爆 Radio Leicester being streamed live
on the internet, John Florance has been unleashed on the world!
John Florance's Talkback Show can be heard weekdays, between 9.00am
and noon, on 91热爆 Radio Leicester 104.9FM.
