confirmed a string of worldwide exclusives for October 2004.

Among these will be the Mixshow Power Summit
live from Puerto Rico, the Hip Hop Honours Tour and The World
Clash presented by Robbo Ranx.

Mixshow Power Summit in Puerto
Rico – 29 September to 2 October 2004
Ìý
1Xtra will return as the worldwide exclusive broadcast
partner for the Mixshow Power Summit, hip hop's answer to the Miami
Winter Music Conference, to broadcast exclusively for the second year
running.
Ìý
Last year, 1Xtra's premier hip hop DJ Semtex
caught up with industry heavyweights like 50 Cent, Pharrell, Outkast,
Nas, Ludacris, Lil John, Busta Rhymes and Timbaland, to host a very
special edition of his Saturday Night Mixtape.
Ìý
This year will be even more special with Semtex being
joined by Dizzee Rascal who will co-host the show with special
guests passing through.
Ìý
1Xtra will also exclusively broadcast The $50k Battle,
the centrepiece of the Mix Power Summit.
Ìý
The MC battle will feature highly sought after young
MC contenders Jin (winner of BET's MC contest and Ruff Ryders/Virgin
signing), Jae Millz (newcomer battle supremo signed to Warner),
Eliot Ness (new signing to Bad Boy records) and Shells
(new signing to J Records).
Ìý
The contenders will battle round for round and the winner
will collect a $50,000 prize.

Hip Hop Honours Tour –
3 to 9 October 2004
Ìý
1Xtra will return to the university freshers circuit
once more after last year's impressive performance by the Panjabi Hit
Squad.
Ìý
This year's tour will see the station bringing the freshest
hip hop artists and DJs to campuses around the UK.
Ìý
The tour will consist of four dates taking in Liverpool,
Birmingham, Sheffield and Essex.
Ìý
The line up features Rodney P & Skitz, Excalibah,
G Money, LJ Blendz, Semtex, Rampage, Ronnie
Herel, G Child, Blakey and Manny Norte.
Ìý
On the Sheffield leg of the tour, 1Xtra will be joined
by hip hop heavyweights Jazzy Jeff and Madd Skillz who
will deliver an exclusive two hour set.
Ìý
Also Estelle, Ricochet Klashnekoff, Taz,
Kamanchi Sly and Mike GLC will be joining 1Xtra on-stage
for some very special performances.

World Clash Live from NYC –
23 October 2004
Ìý
Following 1Xtra's coverage of the UK Cup Clash
in London and World Clash in Jamaica this year, the station is
now going to New York for a clash of the sound systems with big league
contenders from across the world.

1Xtra's Robbo Ranx presents the show which is
hosted by last year's World Clash champion Tony Matterhorn.
Ìý
Contenders on the night are reigning champs Black
Kat (Jamaica), One Love (Italy), Mighty Crown (Japan),
Klassique (UK) and more, live from NYC's legendary reggae club
Amazura in Jamaica, Queens.

Ray Paul, 1Xtra's Executive Producer of Specialist &
Live Music, said: "October is a huge month for 1Xtra, we're going
to bring our listeners a snapshot of the hottest happenings in the black
music scene from news to interviews to upfront tunes. Its going to be

The purpose is to recognize mixshow DJs for their role
in hip hop's surge from the streets to the forefront of popular music.

Over the last five years, the summit has grown in size
and has featured panel discussions, events and showcases attended by
US music industry heavyweights.
