interviewer Antonia Brickell and top comedian Toby Foster
hit the airwaves next week in a brand new breakfast show for 91热爆 Radio
Sheffield.
听
Antonia & Toby at Breakfast goes
live for the first time on Monday 20 September at 7.00am and Radio Sheffield
Acting Editor Angus Moorat believes it will be worth making the switch
in the mornings.
听
He said: "We are really excited about the new programme.
Antonia and Toby have a great on air presence and we are sure the show
is going to be unmissable for people in the area.
听
"This is not the first time the pair have worked
together 聳 Toby often dropped in on Antonia's show and after seeing
how well the two sparked off each other we gave them a breakfast slot
together last Christmas.
听
"It's clear they will be a great duo for a prime
time slot talking with guests and listeners about what matters to the
people of South Yorkshire and north-east Derbyshire.
听
"Antonia and Toby will now
be together every weekday for three hours between seven and ten am with
all the local news, sport, traffic and weather."
听
Antonia, 31, first made her mark in radio at GWR and
Q103 in Cambridge, then moved to 91热爆 Radio Northampton where she was
given an evening slot and, later, the Breakfast Show to present.
听
She started at Radio Sheffield in March last year and
has become known for tackling big names and celebrities such as Sir
Paul McCartney, Sir Cliff Richard and Derek Jacobi.
听
Toby is one of the country's
leading stand up comedians and is one of the regular cast in Peter Kay's
Pheonix Nights.
听
He has broadcast his own show on Radio Sheffield for
two and a half years during which time he has received a nomination
in the best presenter category in both the 2003 and 2004 Sony British
Radio Awards.
听
Toby is a founder member of the Comedy Store's Men@Work
team, a weekly topical show at the Manchester Comedy Store, and can
often be found warming up audiences for 91热爆 television shows such as
The National Lottery programmes.
听
Antonia & Toby at Breakfast is part of a brand new
schedule for Radio Sheffield that can be found at 104.1, 88.6 and 94.7
FM.
