Nancy Dell'Olio talks fashion, food
and football with Jonathan Ross in a special edition of Friday
Night With Jonathan Ross on the eve of Sport Relief.
Ìý
The England coach's long-time girlfriend talks about
the influence of football on her life and the importance of the campaign
she has initiated, Truce International.
Ìý
On Euro 2004 she says: "It's been a fantastic experience.
too emotional, still. It takes a while to get out of this."
Ìý
Nancy reveals that her favourite football teams are
England and Arsenal and explains: "I learned how to love it, a
beautiful game, so intelligent."
Ìý
She describes Truce International as, "not a charity,
a campaign. You have to use this magical power of football. [Football]
has to bring harmony, do something bigger than win a tournament.
Ìý
"I've been inspired by Sven. This is my baby, I
strongly believe in this cause."
Ìý
She also talks about the media and being in the public
eye: "You always think that cameras are going to be there, it's
quite awful sometimes.
Ìý
"They will never know what's
really going on. We don't really like it. you learn how to deal with
it. We don't read the papers, we only watch movies and news, that's
our choice."
Ìý
On fashion she reveals: "He's my man [Sven]. Of
course I dress up for him. Sometimes I don't dress at all."
Ìý
On fitness and looking good she says: "So far I
haven't had a problem with diet, I eat very little pasta."
Ìý
And she shares her advice on how to look and feel great:
"To make love, to be in love."
