Derby's Money Mountain Appeal (registered charity 1103168) is set to
top the 拢1m mark this year.
听
The annual charity appeal, which has been running since
1983, has helped dozens of charities across Derbyshire and East Staffordshire.
The station will be starting the search for this year聮s beneficiaries
on tomorrow's Shane O'Connor Show (Thursday 29 April).
听
To mark the fund raising milestone, Shane will be revisiting
some of the charities that Money Mountain has helped in past years.
Applications are invited from registered charities, voluntary organisations
and other self-interest groups from Derbyshire or East Staffordshire
which would like to be considered as this year's Money Mountain beneficiaries.
听
Application forms can be obtained by ringing the station's
Action Desk - 01332 370707 - or by e-mailing moneymountain@bbc.co.uk.
听
The closing date for applications is Monday 31 May.

For the first time this year groups will be able to
apply for funds for projects of 拢500 upwards.
The station is also encouraging its listeners to try something new this
year by collecting a million pennies to help reach the million pound
mark.
